The Tesla is on the road again, and this time the destination was Wrocław. As always, the trip brought a few interesting experiences, including charger surprises, meetings postponed because of the weather and more kilometers added to the odometer.

First stop: the SuC in Lućmierz
Charging started with a bit of confusion – I didn't notice that I'd plugged into a dark, non-working charger. A moment later everything was sorted, although the station was fully occupied, so the Tesla charged at 75 kW. Even so, I used the time for some small pleasures: a cola in the restaurant, a quick toilet break and a look through my emails. Time well spent!

Onward: Wrocław and charging at GreenWay
The drive to Wrocław went smoothly. This time I chose the AMIC station on Toruńska street from the GreenWay network for charging. The reason? A promotion extended until the end of 2024, thanks to which, on the top subscription plan, 1 kWh costs only 1.60 PLN gross. A deal like that is always welcome, especially on longer trips.

Unfortunately, I had to postpone the planned meeting with the person who had won an auction for an hour-long ride in the Tesla. Rain and the late hour weren't great for test drives, so we agreed on a new date.

The way back and the Tesla's range worries
The next day the Tesla gave me a bit of a scare. The navigation range showed -1% on arrival at the Ionity charging station in Nowostawy, but as is often the case – the worries were exaggerated. With a short toilet stop near Sieradz and a top-up of 3 kWh I reached the charger with 10% battery.

At the Ionity station charging cost me 2.05 PLN/kWh, and the Tesla reached a peak power of 190 kW. I got so absorbed in chatting with friends on Slack that instead of the planned 80% battery I left with 96%. In the end I got home with 60% to spare, so there was no reason to stress.

Summary

  • 1,441 km since the last post
  • Energy used: 294 kWh
  • Average consumption: 20.4 kWh/100 km
  • Current Tesla mileage: 9,682 km

Paint touch-ups and plans for December
The Tesla is approaching the magic 10,000 km mark and… unfortunately, the first paint touch-ups are behind me. Luckily the bonnet is aluminum, so there's no risk of rust, but the touch-up didn't turn out great. For now I'm not planning any further cosmetic fixes.

December looks calmer – two trips to Łódź, one with an overnight stay (and charging at the hotel), the other more demanding – maybe I'll try to do the route without charging. Apart from that, long trips are on hold for the moment, but the odometer will certainly pass 10,000 kilometers before the end of the year.

The Tesla is as reliable as ever, although every trip brings its own little challenges. More kilometers behind us, and I appreciate the flexibility an EV gives more and more. 🚗⚡
