Today I'll share a few impressions from our latest trip and the everyday adventures of our Tesla w bloku (Tesla in the block).
A trip to Łódź – the Tesla and the fog
Over Christmas we visited family in Łódź. The journey was a bit demanding because of thick fog, but the Tesla rose to the occasion. While we were at it, we put on a little light show in the fog – the effect was truly magical and made a big impression on the family!
During the trip we charged twice at Ionity stations, using about 70 kWh in total. The thick fog and the need to warm up the battery meant consumption was higher than usual. Still, the longer stop at the second charge fit our needs nicely – our little one happened to be eating lunch, so everything lined up perfectly.
A nice gesture from Greenway
Greenway recently fixed a bug in their system that I'd reported, and as a thank-you they threw in 10 kWh for free. Working with charging operators like this is a real pleasure!
Walks by the charger
I've decided to add regular walks to my schedule. Nearby I found an AC charger priced below 2 PLN per kWh, about a 30-minute walk from my home. The plan is simple: I leave the car charging, take a 30-minute walk home, and a few hours later come back for the charged car. It's a great way to get some light exercise before the upcoming cycling season.
Period summary
Recently I drove 722 km, using 142 kWh. Average consumption came to 19.7 kWh/100 km.
Plans for the future
I'll do the next summary on 31 December – it will cover the whole year! From January I also plan to keep monthly energy consumption reports, which will help me monitor costs and driving efficiency even better.
