It's been a while since the last post – work has kept me thoroughly busy, but I finally got around to writing a few words about recent Tesla events.
Winter on the roads – testing Off-road mode with S3XY Buttons
Winter has arrived in full – snow fell, which gave me a chance to test the Off-road option in the S3XY Buttons app. I have to admit it made a huge impression on me! The drive works with a 50% front and 50% rear split, which makes driving on snow a pure pleasure. No problems pulling away, and handling in these conditions is stable and confident.
A mobile service visit – mixed feelings
Mobile service came to see me, but not everything went as expected. They replaced the headlights at 13,800 km, but I have the feeling they were aimed too high. What's more, the knocking in the steering wheel wasn't fixed, and other noises, like the ones from the seat belts, were put down to normal wear and tear. I'm not entirely happy, but I hope that when the computer gets replaced, these issues can be added to the ticket.
Consumption and charging
Recently I drove 803 km using 153 kWh of energy, which gives an average consumption of 19 kWh/100 km.
I also discovered a great AC charging option thanks to DKV – the price is currently 10% lower than at the AC charger on Mińska Street. I leave the car charging and meanwhile go for a walk or catch up on shows on Netflix, if I only want to top up 7-10 kWh.
Summary
Winter didn't catch the Tesla off guard – Off-road mode did great on snow, but the service issues leave something to be desired. Charging at a good price and managing my time while topping up are definite pluses. I hope the next post brings more positive impressions! 😊
